Born in Kashmir, exiled in New Delhi, Aditya Raj Kaul is an activist turned journalist. At present the India Editor of The Indian newspaper published from Sydney,Australia; he has also worked as a features writer and columnist with The Times of India and Free Press Journal. In the years gone past, Kaul has been the founder member of 'Roots in Kashmir', a front-line worldwide youth initiative of the displaced Pandits. Stunned by the tragic politics in universities, Kaul along with friends initiated - 'United Students', a group which played vital role in anti-reservation campaign in the country and redefining politics in Delhi University. It provided the college going teenagers a pedestal to voice their opinions; without any alignment with a political ideology. Kaul rose to limelight in the country when at the age of sixteen he initiated 'Justice for Priyadarshini Mattoo' campaign, its verdict now being, unprecedented. He was announced the 'Youth Achiever' of the year 2006 by the India Today Magazine, Delhi Times and news channel NDTV. He was as well chosen as the top twenty five ‘Capital Change makers’ in New Delhi by Today (India Today group).
